Mom's Crisp Oat Cookies

The best cookies ever, bar none.

Mix together:
1 1/2 cups flour
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Pinch of mace, ginger; 2 of cinnamon
(Mom says "Only a tiny bit, if any; this is not a spice cookie")

Cream in bowl:
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar

Add:
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Stir in flour mixture. Divide into 2 or 3 rolls; cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. To bake, cut in 1/2 inch slices, bake on ungreased sheet 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
